Resurgence Productions is a film production company based in Melbourne, Australia. Resurgence was started by writer and producer Jenna Cosgrove in 2015, with the aim to make compelling, commercial films that (above all else) entertain.
Resurgence is particularly committed to creating stories with interesting, multi-faceted female characters, whether they are leads or supports.
Jenna is a writer, producer, and marketing specialist. Her dystopian web series, 2121, starring TV legend Gary Sweet (Steven Speilberg’s THE PACIFIC) and Briar Rose (AMCs The Dead Lands), premiers in 2020. Previous to that, the short documentary web series MASTERS AT WORK which she produced with The 8 Percent, premiered on Virgin Australia.
As a screenwriter, Jenna co-wrote a major Australian horror film with veteran screenwriter Greg Woodland, optioned for filming in 2019. Jenna has written and produced six short films including THE FALCON, THE RED PALACE, TRAFFIC, and AIR, which recently screened at the Motor City Nightmares film festival in Detroit, and the Brighton Rocks festival in the UK, where it was a finalist in the genre category. In 2018 Jenna produced feature film NOVA STAR with stalwart indie director Daniel Armstrong, and Strongman Pictures.
Jenna’s earliest love was for fiction, and her YA novel TATTOO was published in 2016. The book trailer she produced for Tattoo was nominated for a prestigious Golden Trailer award alongside work from Harper Collins, among others.
Jenna is currently working on her next project, the sci-fi web series DEEP.
